The Kindergarten November No Prep Packet is a set of Thanksgiving-themed math and literacy worksheets that covers the skills kindergartners practice in late fall. It also works as review for first graders. Every page is black and white on US Letter paper, so it is ready to print and use the same day.
Sixteen literacy pages focus on early reading and writing. Students build words in the -at, -et, -ot and -in families, fill in missing vowels, decide whether words are real or nonsense, and count the sounds in a word. Sight word practice targets look, my, go, you, is and it, and rhyming, sentence reading and a Fix the Sentence page for capitals and periods round out the set.
Seventeen math pages build number sense to 100. Kindergartners count by 10s and 5s, find numbers before, after and between to 50, work with one more and one less, and count on. Number bonds, ways to make 10, domino doubles and number line hops lead into addition, while graphing, shapes and sorting add variety.
Bonus pages make the Thanksgiving season fun: a two-page Turkey Headband craft, "I Am Thankful For..." feather writing, four coloring pages and a November Superstar certificate. Answer keys are included for quick checking.
A 4-week study plan lays out about two pages per day, which makes the 48 pages simple to use for morning work, math and literacy centers, small groups, homework, intervention, homeschool and sub plans.
