Sight Word Garden is a kindergarten sight word program with practice worksheets for reading and writing 60 high-frequency words. It covers all 40 Dolch pre-primer words plus 20 more words that kindergartners see often.
The words are spread across a 12-week study plan with five words each week, and a word index shows which words belong to which week. That steady pace gives every word time to stick and makes planning simple for centers, morning work or small groups.
Each word has two levels with a predictable layout. Level A, Trace and Build, has students read the word, trace it three times, color bubble letters, find and count it among look-alike words and cut and glue letters to build it. Level B, Write and Read, asks students to write the word three times, find it in a word search, read it in a sentence and circle it, then cut and glue letters to spell it on their own.
Progress is easy to follow. Reading assessment cards and a teacher record sheet with three progress checks show which words each child knows, 60 flash cards support quick review, and a My Word Garden tracker lets children watch their garden grow.
Teacher notes, a page icon guide, a family note, answer keys and bonus Make Your Own Sight Word pages complete the 142 black and white US Letter pages for literacy centers, RTI and intervention, homework and homeschool.
