Ten to fifteen minutes a day is all it takes to keep number sense growing through November. The same six-step routine runs every morning, so kindergartners know exactly what comes next while the numbers grow from 1–5 to 1–10.
November Math Warm-Ups is a kindergarten number sense resource with 20 days of ready-to-project math slides, 240 in total, plus printable student answer sheets. Each warm-up takes about 10 to 15 minutes, which makes it a natural fit for morning meeting, calendar time or the start of a math block.
Every day follows the same routine. Children check off Today's Math Plan, explore the Number of the Day, try a Quick Look subitizing image, go on a Number Hunt, add, take away and solve a story problem. A Check It! slide follows each activity, so the class sees the answer right away and talks about how they got it.
Over the month, the skills cover number recognition, number words, ten frames, tally marks, dot patterns, number lines, before and after, picture addition and subtraction, story problems and making 10. Subitizing practice uses dice, dominoes, ten frames and counters.
The numbers grow week by week. Week 1 stays with numbers 1–5, Week 2 reaches 7, Week 3 reaches 10 and Week 4 mixes review within 10 with making 10. Weekly answer sheets come in two levels, circle the answer or write the answer, so emerging writers and confident ones can both record their thinking.
A 4-week study plan, teacher notes and a complete answer key are included in the 254 printable landscape pages. Project the slides for whole group, or print them for centers, small groups, intervention, early finishers and homeschool.

Why it works
Young children do their best math when the routine is predictable and the numbers are the only new thing. A short daily dose of subitizing, counting and simple story problems, with an answer check after each step, builds number sense steadily without taking over the day.
