Halloween Kindergarten Centers is a set of 20 hands-on October math and literacy centers for kindergarten, with enough flexibility for PreK enrichment and 1st grade review. Friendly pumpkins, bats, ghosts and monsters keep the theme playful rather than scary.
The ten math centers cover the big ideas of the kindergarten fall: shapes and graphing, ten frames with teen numbers, number order to 10, numbers before and after, comparing more and less, addition to 10, making 5 and 10, measuring and repeating patterns from AB through AABB.
The ten literacy centers move from letters to words. Children match uppercase and lowercase letters, fill in missing letters, identify beginning sounds, put together rhyming puzzles, sort by syllables, find middle vowels, build and read CVC words and practice sight words through roll and read games.
Each center has an instruction card with an I Can statement, a materials list, picture directions and differentiation ideas, plus its own recording sheet. That consistency helps five-year-olds work independently while you teach a small group.
A 4-week teacher plan sets a weekly skill focus and daily routine, and the setup guide, rotation chart, 20 bin labels and student tracker make organization quick. The 86 black and white PDF pages include answer keys and a Spooky Center Star Award, and suit morning tubs, small groups, intervention, homeschool and sub plans.
