Description

The Preschool Assessment Binder is a reusable screening and recording system for preschool and Pre-K classrooms focused on kindergarten readiness. You assess children in fall, winter and spring with the same pages and record results on one set of tracking sheets, so growth across the year is easy to see.

Every child-facing page includes a "Teacher says" script. That keeps directions consistent from child to child and from season to season, and it lets an assistant teacher give the same assessment in the same way. Level A is written for preschool and Level B for Pre-K and kindergarten readiness.

Math pages check colors, 2-D and 3-D shapes, numerals 0–10 and 11–20, subitizing with Quick Look dot cards, counting objects to 10 and to 20, more and fewer, big and small, ordinal numbers, position words, pattern recognition and a Which One Does Not Belong? task.

Early literacy pages assess uppercase and lowercase letter identification, letter sounds, beginning sounds, rhyming and syllable counting with Clap the Parts. A My Writing Sample page and a skills checklist add a broader picture of each child.

Fall, winter and spring recording sheets, a class data summary and a family learning report make it simple to plan small groups and share progress at parent-teacher conferences. Binder covers, spines in three sizes and a complete answer guide finish the 37 black and white pages.
